UK’s largest independent training provider for the public sector is seeking a Head of Programmes to lead a multifaceted role and drive the productivity of a small training team!

The company is a renowned training provider with a portfolio of highly informative, interactive, and insightful programmes for public and private sector organisations. Reporting to the Head of the Division, the Head of Programme position is ideal for an experienced Training / Conference Production Manager looking to take the next step in their career and lead a small team of dedicated staff with excellent research capabilities.

Attention to detail is key in organising skills-based training courses, but the Head of Programmes will be expected to generate new ideas to move this dynamic and rapidly expanding company forward. 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities  

  • Oversee all programme content across courses from idea generation and sourcing trainers to identifying new growth areas
  • Drive idea generation through public sector policy updates and skills areas 
  • Manage a small production team 
  • Ensure event costs and trainer fees are within the budget and financial forecasts
  • Manage key relationships with external stakeholders and Operations, Marketing, and Sales teams 
  • Monitor and track delegate bookings with marketing to boost numbers, and raise brand awareness 

The Candidate

  • Proven experience of putting together training courses and / or conferences and identifying reasons for delegate attendance
  • A strong commercial understanding with analytical research skills to disseminate new industry information
  • Creative thinker and problem solver with the ability to spot new trends for implementation
  • Excellent communicator who can manage external relationships and business expectations
  • Experience of managing a team and progressing careers
