Exhibition Coordinator
£25K + £2K Bonus
Our client is a leading company of exhibition and conference organisers, they organise 15 exhibitions & events each year and are looking for an experienced exhibition organiser to join their fast paced and close-knit events team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to enhance their career in exhibition management. Someone who has been working in exhibition organisation is ready to take the next step up would be ideal for this role.
Responsibilities include -
• Take responsibility for all communication with exhibitors from the time that they have signed to attend the exhibition, in the lead up to and during the exhibition.
• Liaise with venue contacts and contractors
• Design and update floor plans (QuarkXPress)
• Produce information manuals for exhibitors
• Manage production of the show catalogue
• Manage any out-sourced work (e.g. event data, show catalogue, visitor hotlines, coaches)
• Organise all aspects of the exhibition
• Co-ordinate the Venture Marketing Team and suppliers on site
• Strict budgetary control
The ideal candidates will be someone with a minimum of two years of experience in the exhibition industry, someone who would require minimal training outside of getting used to the company and someone who can to hit the ground running. The successful candidate will be working on multiple events at the same time and there fore you must be well organised, have the ability to multi task, be hard working, self motivates and have an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
IT and software skills in word (Mac based), FileMakerPro, QuarkXPress (if possible) and excel are important
Group Event Director
Up to £55K
Our client is one of UK’s leading credit industry knowledge suppliers and is looking for a Group Event Director to take charge of their range of existing events including the high profile awards, conferences, seminars, webinars and exhibitions. You will be responsible to manage a team of event personnel and you will also have the opportunity to build upon this team as the company has huge growth plans in place for the coming year.
The Group Event Director will be responsible to work alongside the sales and marketing teams, would be required to attend client meetings and assist in planning proposals for events wherever required. You would be responsible for managing the entire event from start to finish, including budget management and financial reporting, signing off the design, copy, print and mailing, through to delegate registration, venue sourcing and management of the event on the day.
You would have the ability to demonstrate creative thinking in order to achieve objectives, develop and coach staff and evaluate new opportunities and ideas for the development of the department.
We are looking for a highly motivated, committed and competent candidate who will have marketing and logistics experience and who can lead the team in an energetic and inclusive manner to motivate self and others to achieve targets and improve service.
The successful candidate will be expected to formulate and lead the implementation of the event strategies to ensure the long term commercial success of the events. They will be inquisitive and be a quick learner who will have an easy ability to form and maintain positive relationships with clients to ensure growth and strong positioning within its market place.
Events take place across the whole of the UK and therefore flexibility to travel is a requirement.
