Albany Appointments recruits for a wide range of positions in the international conference and events sector. Our clients are mainly B2B conference and event companies, publishing companies and non- profit organisations. We recruit for positions from graduate entry-level, to experienced conference and event professionals and senior management. 

Delegate Sales: selling conference places to a sector specific target audience. This role is predominantly telesales based and involves researching leads and cold calling potential delegates.
Skills required: excellent telephone manner, persistence and determination. Media sales experience is a bonus!  

Sponsorship & Exhibition Sales: a more consultative sales role selling conference sponsorship packages to clients, involving researching potential leads, approaching with a sponsorship proposition and listening to the client’s needs to develop a suitable package that suits their marketing strategy.
Skills required: B2B sales experience is essential, as is the ability to build rapport & question intelligently. Ambition and determination to succeed and high energy levels are essential and candidates will be highly motivated by financial reward.

Marketing:
Conference and event marketers are responsible for planning and implementing marketing campaigns including: writing marketing plans, sourcing lists, liaising with designers, fulfillment and mailing houses, campaign analysis, copywriting and budget management.
Skills required: strong numerical and analytical ability, attention to detail, excellent written and spoken communication skills. Database experience and reporting skills.

Conference Production:
Conference producers are responsible for researching the content of a conference and developing a commercially successful conference program. This involves in-depth market research, sourcing speakers and writing copy for the conference programme.
Skills required: research, written and spoken communication skills, commercial awareness and confidence, deadline driven and organised, able to work in a pressurised work environment.

Event Management:
Event Managers (also known as organisers or co-ordinators) are responsible for the smooth running of each event. This includes venue sourcing & negotiation, supplier liaison including AV, catering and signage and managing event budgets.
Key skills: for entry level positions we look for exceptional organizational skills, good administration and office work experience, attention to detail and customer service.
